I've never actually seen a left side drive bike. But I have seen some on this site. If some one that has one wishes to respond, why? Is it simply a design deal? I guess all you have to do is reverse…Continue

"I would think, and this is pure arm chair cycling, finding a good gear ratio could allow for some good touring on a fixie. Nothing extreme with multiple mountain passes, but rolling territory. Something like a 39 or 38 x 17 or 18 maybe even 20,…"

left side drive

I've never actually seen a left side drive bike. But I have seen some on this site. If some one that has one wishes to respond, why? Is it simply a design deal? I guess all you have to do is reverse the bottom bracket. Not that there is any thing wrong with the concept, just wondering.

"yeah def try using 46/18 or 19, it will be much easier to go backwards. When pedaling backwards, try to center your balance, just like going forward. You have to get used to the balance going backwards first. I would simply push myself backwards…"

pedaling backwards

Alright smarties. I think there were 20 responses in an hour to the track stand question. How about going backwards? I've been using a slow forward motion in a circle, then when things feel right reversing it. Ive found from a track stand its way unstable. If I ease forward its easier to switch direction and keep centrifigul force in my favor. Using this method I've made it two revolutions so far. I also think smaller than 46-14 ratios make it easier. Any thoughts?See More

billy miller replied to Daniel Apt's discussion How do I track stand?
"Actually staying on your seat is better. It lowers your center of gravity. Just get yourself in a position to peddle extremely slow. slow everything down until you start moving your bars back and forth. Try to find a center. Like Nikko said use core…"
