"CO2. Hands down. 16gram CO2s weigh very little. take up almost no space and most shops sell 'em for about 2 bucks a shot. Get a good inflator that has a trigger and works with threaded and non-threaded CO2. If you're running a small seat…"

David Menestres replied to Fixed Gear Republic's discussion What bike lock do you use? What are the best bike locks that you have come across.
"I have a Kryptonite New York lock. Great for a rigid lock. I enjoy it a lot. Works well for general city use and seems pretty solid. Worth the weight. Only drawbacks are not great for getting around large size objects and is expensive."

"I have a similar pump, the Road Morph, which is the one that crapped out on me, but Topeak did send me replacement parts (without a receipt on my part! Good for them). It works pretty well but it's a lot of pumping to get anywhere near 100 psi."

"co2 might make you 90 psi, finish off with your HP pump... or better yet, dont bother with co2.. this is a great pump.. you attach the head, lock it.. put it at the bottom or near where you set up the end of the pump that pushes into the ground…"

"That's pretty much where I stand as well. I decided to stick with the pump since Topeak decided to replace it for free. I do want to investigate CO2 systems in the future, but at the moment I am wicked broke so it will have to wait."

"The way that I see it,, either you pump or pay not to pump. Sure air is free but trying to ram 110psi with a little pump is hard. CO2 is easy but the caps of CO2 are a few bucks for each flat. If you have never used one before (though they are dead…"

David Menestres replied to Fixed Gear Republic's discussion What lights do you ride with at night?
"I have the Planet Bike Beamer http://ecom1.planetbike.com/3029.html for the front and the Superflash clipped to my bag on the back. Nothing fancy but they do a good job and are fairly cheap for lights that are so bright. They handle bad weather well…"
