So tell me, what's your gear ratio and what do you use that ratio for?

My ratio is 46/16 and I use my bike for commute and alleycats.

Now 42/18 soon 42/17 =)
Also using my bike for commute
46/18. perfect for the ups and downs
44/16, also tried 42/16 and 42/18. use for general riding, flats and light hills.
49/14 way too strong for my pin legs
i admire anyone riding fixed using a chainring bigger than 48T... that takes some brute strength..
Really depends on your rear cog.
true
use to ride 53/18. haha toooo much. i used it to get places. now i ride a 43/16. perfect for tricking and commuting.
thanks gus.
this isnt my post but ive always wanted to know the best ratio for tricking and commuting.
tim, most people have different needs as to tricking. me being 6'3 with long legs i dont need as much effort on my bike, as for some one with small legs might need a different geart ratio. get me? most people of average height go with a 42:17
ahaha thanks. fill in the blank for me. so if im in 5'5, what would be a good ratio for me?
id say anything from a 42:16 to a 43:18
