so i just recently finished converting my 85 treck into a flip flop and i love it. but are there certain benefits im missing out on by not having a track bike frame and crank system? just wondering ive been told a few things i know weight is an obvious upside track bikes will be lighter but is there anything else? or id just like to hear your opinion on what you would wrather ride

rear dropouts...you cant use chain tensioners when you have a conversion usualy...besides that the weight issue but thats not really a huge issue if yr not trying to win races :) you cant use a threadless stem,although alot of new companys are building bikes that cant either purley to give new bikes an older look
theres really no huge advantage ...i think cosmeticly newer bikes sometimes dont have braz ons but sometimes do,really the only disadvantage is weight and rear dropouts..sometimes hard to keep yr chain tight on a fixie..but that problem can be solved with a white industries hub
