Just moved up here from Denver. I wanna ride! Anyone?
anybody on here doing the urban assault race?
I'm waiting on my summer financial aid check, but If it takes too long, $60 bones is steep. be fun though...
I think it's actually around $45 a team mate, but that is still a little steep for what pretty much amounts to a fun run.
Yeah, $45 if you reg 2 weeks prior, but $60 within the final 2 weeks. If you can and like to drink beer, it can be "cost effective", but you are right. still, would be fun.

Are you in FC, or at least NoCo?
fort collins, about a 3 minute bike ride west of campus. you?
Loveland, going to frcc (and csu part time next fall).
What sort of riding do you do? Know of any groups or gatherings?
What are you riding?

I've been just riding for a long time, a couple years ago I was doing some alleycats but that scene seems to have gone away, so I'm starting to play with tricks.
i just like to mash red lights and dodge cars, not too good at the freestyle aspect. I know about bike polo every tuesday and the 6 day races are going on, but besides that there's not much. I see riders all over town, but for some reason up here if you pull up next to them and try to talk you get ignored. I want to try to get some alley cats going next semester when there's more people here.
and i'm riding a white motobecane, Weinmann zac 18s, 46/15 and shoulder width drops with orange track grips.
Werd.
Mine is a bit of a transformer:
Makino NJS frame (red to white fade), Weinmann/formula wheels (white/black), either 45/16 (currently) or some combo of 49 or 50 and 16 or 17. Slipped out on some Ice in January during my commute and fractured my pelvis, so I've dropped way out of shape.
I have risers on the bike right now, and flat pedals.
The bike also has "track" configuration, with track drops and sew-up wheels, but its been more than a year since it looked like that, riding at Boulder Indoor Cycling.
It fun either way.
I used to ride in Denver a bunch, loved cutting up traffic. Still do it a bit up here, but need to be a bit stronger to get a good gear going.

I totally want to do some alleycats! I've been thinking I'd probably have to organize them, though. We should figure something out!
Looks like I got to this party late... I'd be down for helping set up some alleycats/events. Or if you guys just want to ride and/or get a beer. You can usually spot me around town, I ride everywhere and every day. Also my bike is hard to miss.
for sure, i'll be back in town monday if you want to ride, just send me a message with your number
