so im trying to switch out my cog, but i cant get the lockring off. i dont have the tool, and i really don't want to buy one or go to the shop. i tried a hammer/screwdriver method, but it started to strip me lockring.. any other suggestions?
Here's my advice. sell your bike. you want to ride a "fixie" but dont want to purchase a chainwhip and wrench. even if you get the lock ring off, youll never get the cog off. just sell the bike, or spend 40 bucks on a quality tool.
Photo by Dylan Vanweelden SSCXWC Qualifiers: normally, that means a bunch of clipless, singlespeed warriors racing around a closed course in some city park, but this year, it was in Philly and Philly don’t fuck around. More to come, but for now, see the rest of Dylan’s photos here!
I love the vintage Cinelli Laser track bike. The low pros and pursuits are nice, but the lines of the true track model never get old. Hrrundel has been playing with some studio photos of this bike and I found this one in particular worth the share. See more at the Hrrundel Flickr.
