How can we make these forums more popular?

I mean riding fixed has become super popular around the world, yet there's only a handful of conversations going on here. The site is a great idea and since FB and MS are boring the hell out of me.. and suicidegirls has it's time and place =P

So how can we promote the site better, or help enlist more active members?

u want to promote with no money spent? cuz i you are willing to spend some just make stickers that could make good spokes cards that all the "hipsters" like... or try to make a huge ride somewhere with lots of ppl from this site with some kind of logo..lol

I'm honestly not sure how.. Maybe links/banners to all our social networking sites? tell friends? See if you're favorite local shop wants to advertise or create a profile? Looking for everyone's input..

how bout just mentioning it on the other sites were on..myspace..facebook..twitter....i follow FR on twitter and i showed them to everyone on my face book...i think theres starting to be kind of alot of people here but the one thing ive notice thats a little different here than other fixed forums ive been on is that the people here arent being very inneractive with one another..you know what i mean??? like maybe people come and check it out and see that people arent having alot of fun on these forums so they join fixed gear republic and then just never come back lol
just a thought but we need a little spice here to keep peoples attention...we need a good amount of shit talking..not to mean just playfull and fun....and btw i think getting people from this site together for a big ride would be a great idea....like im from so cal and i could hold a ride for so cal and anyone who wanted to travel could be welcome....people from other states could hold them and if members from other regions could show than they would but if not atleast the ones in that area could show,and they could be under the name "fixed gear republic ride"
everyone knows theres a critical mass in every major and even some smaller cities...what if there was a FIXED GEAR REPUBLIC ride in every major city.....for instance i live in lancaster which is a 40 min drive from LA its in the desert but we have a decent city and alot of artistic people.A guy named Rich started a ride,ate first there was only like 20 riders,after a month or so it was up to almost 100....can you imagint if they labeled the ride FIXED GEAR REPUBLIC RIDE and handed out even little paper flyers
idunno but i defanitly think people here need to inneract with eachother a little more....its so slow..i posted about my stupid tonsills and it took a week for anyone to reply...i know it wasnt about bikes but just to be friendly and social people should reply back...that would make it more fun ,and i believe that would keep more people attracted to this site and keep them comming back 4 more
