I'm not a fixie rider yet... working on my dad's old Scott Sawtooth. Trying to get my stuff
together for the buildup.
I'll probably ask a whole bunch of questions cus' I have never build a bike before.
Oh well.... everybody had to start from scratch right?

In the town where I live a fixie is something very few people have heard of.
I'm about to change that!
I'm really looking forward sharing my work with yall, although I think it will
take some time to really get it finished.

Anyways,
We'll keep in touch, or as the dutch say " We spreken, ouwe! "

No worries, as long as it's yours and you like it, thats all that matters.
Go for it Gerrit and know you have lots of support and friends that will help with whatever questions may come to you,Bike builds are fun and as Sir Roosevelt expressed its your build so build it for you and ride it til the tires fall off then just buy more tires.
NIKKO
Thanx! I'll need the help ;)
As soon as I start building I'll post some photo's...
At this moment I took everything off the bike, because I want to take the frame and fork to a sandblasting/powdercoat factory in my town. Thinking about grey metallic for the frame and fork, and light green for wheels/rims.
I have to find a spot near my home where i can buy a fixed wheelset and a crankset.
Tomorrow, I'll take my handlebars to work. Want to make 'em shorter.

What's the minimum length for handlebars?
I mean, at what point are they to small for proper handling?
better to start off no less then hip width cause easier to cut off more then to try to add back to bars
welcome. in the beginning i thought i was the only fixed rider in west allis now i run into a guy/gal every day.
