This is the obligatory fixed gear forum crash post. What's your gnarliest wreck to date? Did it feel weird to get back in the saddle? Any funny stories? What was the most valuable thing you had in your bag at the time?

My laptop just came through its 4th crash, still no damage!

well... i lived in denver over this summer and was fine. then when i moved back to "small town" population 6000 in IL... i got hit by an SUV.. about a month ago. and now my wrist is all messed up.. i hit my brakes to avoid it but happened to be in gravel at the time so i of course went over my bars.. landed directly on my right hand. and when i looked up i was like "Woah...under an SUV..." they didn't care.. they seemed pissed off. i was offended.
luckily I've yet to crash, (knocks on wood) but I've had some close calls no doubt. My friend recently took out this girl on his road bike and fucked up his front wheel pretty badly. He was moving over to let a car pass him on an inner campus street, which was stupid on his part, and she just appeared on the cross walk.

They both turned out ok thankfully. Ride safe out there people.
In 40 years of riding .

1.Hit by a car , busted windshield with my head ( before helmets )
2.Over backward clipped in on a wheelie
3. Snapped a fork on a Cannondale MT. bike , mouth full of sand & bars in hand .
Mission trails .

When your numbers up ,,,,, its up .
Before I started riding fixed I was an ubran/dirt jump guy and I rode SS. The first day I finished my fixie I was full speed and I tried to bunny hop up a curb. As soon as I tried to re-vert my feet to my comfortable bunny hop position I got bucked over the front of the bike. Thankfully I was able to get my front wheel up and over the curb but as soon as my back wheel hit I went right over the bars onto the sidewalk and grass....still working on that bunny hop
